Cinco De Mayo Styled Bar Cart and Cocktail Party

Cinco De Mayo Styled Bar Cart and Cocktail Party

My Walmart bar cart is easily turning into my most used item for entertaining. I had so much fun styling the bar cart for a little Cinco de Mayo soiree I threw over the weekend! The items used to style the bar cart (and myself) are from some of my go-to stores: Target, Michaels, TJ Maxx, Paper Source, and Tuckernuck. How fun is this balloon backdrop from Paper Source??? Paper Source does made to order balloon bouquets and they REALLY bring the party to any display amiright? Call your local store for details.

The Target items are all from the store's Opalhouse line, which I am obsessed with. The plastic marg glasses featured here are only $2.99 per glass and the faux plant only $24.99 - all from the Opalhouse line. Check out Opalhouse here for a ton of cute home decor and entertaining items. And sorry in advance, you're going to buy everything!!

The pineapple drink dispenser, pineapple tumblers, and bar sign are all from TJ Maxx. I bought the drink dispenser and tumblers online! I think my brain exploded when I discovered that you could shop online at TJ Maxx. I still love going to the store and seeing what I might find on any given day, but the ability to shop online is so convenient, especially when I'm short on time. The cute ceramic cactus, yellow bottle, and faux flower bunch are from Michaels. Check out Michael's summer collection RIGHT NOW. It's amazing. You're welcome.

One of my favorite purchases for this shoot were these Kim Seybert cocktail napkins from Tuckernuck. I fell in love with them because they are just so damn beautiful. Can't wait to use them ALL summer! Same feelings about the gold pineapple tray - also from Tuckernuck. Tuckernuck is my favorite boutique for clothing and they also carry a ton of really great home stuff. It's all so classic and fun, you can't go wrong. I'm wearing the Woven Shorts by Moon River (only $68 for such a gorgeous piece).

Grab your Girls and Make some MARGS (and memories)

I'll admit I wing all of my cocktails (for better or for worse). For the spicy pineapple margs I used 2 bags of frozen pineapple chunks, canned pineapple juice, lime juice, agave, 1 fresh jalapeno (chopped, seeds removed), and silver tequila. I eyeballed the ingredients (I wanted a frozen marg so I only used a splash of the juices). I used probably a quarter of the tequila in the bottle. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until fully combined. Run a lime wedge along the rims of the glasses and dip the rims in sugar or salt depending on your preference. Garnish with pineapple wedges and jalapeno slices. If the photos below are any indication, I think I made a pretty good cocktail (lol).
